Based on your training log, what do you think were the main factors that impacted your marathon time for Newport and Southhampton? It looks like you possibly over did your easy runs (88 and 91, instead of 80%) while not spending enough time on speed work (11 and 8, instead of 20%). Do you think this played a part or were there other factors?
Either way, I'm happy I saw this article since I'm trying to consider the best approach for next year's marathon training and it looks like I need to keep my weekly mileage up while maintaining that 80/20 split.
